Mark Guerringue again defends the left. We begin with the McCain funeral. Mark was a big fan of McCain and thought the funeral was inspiring. My take is that it was overdone, that it seemed to go on forever. That leads to a discussion of the 2008 campaign where Obama defeated McCain and I suggest that the media liked McCain when he criticized Republicans, but not when he opposed Obama. Mark disagrees. From there we again discuss leftist media bias which Mark still denies and I still insist is rampant -- and a big driver of the Mueller investigation. I make the case that Trump is right when he calls it a witchhunt. Mark says the Mueller indictments prove there's something to it. We discuss further developments in South Africa with government expropriation of farmland from whites and their murders by roving hordes of bandits. I point to a Gallup poll indicating that a majority of Democrats now view capitalism unfavorably and socialism favorably. Mark says Democrats don't want socialism. Bernie Sanders was a socialist before he said while running for president that he was a democratic socialist. I ask what is the difference between democratic socialism and socialism, but Mark doesn't know. The producer prints out definitions for each but, while the definition of socialism is clear-cut, that for democratic socialism is very vague. It seems no one does. We discuss Democrat support for abolishing ICE. I say it's a dog whistle for open borders. Mark insists the Democrat Party is against open borders.

It seems awful petty to be calling a funeral for an American hero "overdone."
Leftist media bias seems to be any reporting that goes against the spin of the far right. There is no greater example of actual blatant media bias than Fox News. To claim that the media is a "driver" of the Mueller investigation is ludicrous. No evidence supports that dopey statement. And how can anybody claim that it is a "witch hunt" when they don't have the slightest idea of the evidence that Mueller has so far? Why knock another great patriot, a decorated Marine, and someone who has proven himself to have outstanding character? Because you don't like the fact that he is investigating your guy? Grow up.
Democrats don't want pure socialism, you know that. They want a mix with capitalism, similar to the one we have now, but with more checks on Big Business, Banking, and Wall Street. Surely you remember the disaster to the economy they caused not so long ago, the one Obama got us out of and Trump is trying to take credit for. Democrats want to limit the snowballing of money and power into the hands of a few elitists, and give more of a fighting chance to the average American.
Also, I would place the percentage of Democrats who want "open borders" at about 1%. Nobody I know wants that, and only the very rare politician will suggest that.
Tom and the other "witch hunt" people are going to feel like real dummies when Mueller reveals Trump's broomstick, black cat, and cauldron.
It is funny that one of Trump's rallying cries was "draining the swamp", but now that Mueller is actually doing this....
I agree with the notion that the vast majority of democrats are more than ok with capitalism so long as it is sufficiently regulated to avoid the otherwise inevitable easy snowballing of wealth, as well as avoiding the destruction of nature and our earth for the sake of greed, and keeping corruption in check. Who can argue that the lessening of regulations enabled the great collapse of our economy with Lehman Brothers etal?
As for "media bias", I can say that as an independent i find it just as easy to find outlets on both ends of the spectrum. I find way more right leaning shows on the radio, and more left on tv. Online you can find anything.
Time will tell with the Mueller investigation. It seems that with the many people that have already been scooped out of the swamp that this investigation can never be called a waste of time. I don't see any legitimate arguments against the investigation. To save taxpayer money? I can think of no higher purpose for tax money than protecting the integrity of our our nation.
Tom, I dare you to watch this the whole 4-something minutes about a fundamental larger truth. Then explain to me....why the hoax?
Or be a chicken and hide, whatever.

John McCain was a good democrat. I will state that he was a better pilot than statesman. With respect to the posts, the media is fake news. It is one big 1984 book--orwellian--just repeat lies --double talk and they are believed. We all know in Maine the truth of the Colorado recreational drug experiment was never told. We have been hoodwinked by the George Soros crowd wishing to drug up the population to have more sheep to control. Trump, while far from a perfect man, is battling his own agencies as the agencies have become more empowered than the legislative branches of government. While I do not care for Trump's twittering, I believe his heart is to restore the country and we need it. Today I read we now have 22 illegals living here, not 11 million-this according to a study at Yale, hardly a conservative college. It is clear to me that the educational system in the US looks more like a communist enterprise replete with indoctrination, controlled and ruined by the political teachers' union, and fails to seek truth, but rather espouses a political ideology, not facts or truths they can defend.

Whenever people ask me about media bias I always refer to this:
Every time Trump makes a major speech that I can watch in its entirety, it never fails that letter that day or the next, the main stream media will be airing selected clips of the speech that are either taken out of context or just plain wrong. When I see the speech myself and then seee what the media does to it, there is no doubt that there is a bias and an agenda.
Small wonder why some people who only watch main stream media news don’t care for Trump. They’ve never actually heard his speech.
And there is ample evidence of this going on in all the major main stream outlets. And not just about Trump. Dan Rathers fake awol papers on Bush. What they did to the Trayvon Martin 911 recording. Those are just two egregious examples. This happens all the time and every day. It truly is fake news and has a bias and an agenda.
