Progressive Agenda

Deconstructionist culture warriors of the left continue their relentless assault on western civilization. It’s impossible to cover it all in a weekly, 800-word column, so here are just a few tidbits.
A new California law outlawed therapy to help people overcome same-sex attraction. Signing the bill, Governor “Moonbeam” Brown declared: “These practices have no basis in science or medicine.” Reparative therapy, as it’s sometimes called by conservative therapists, starts with the premise that homosexuality is, as Catholic Church puts it: “intrinsically disordered.” It’s not normal. This directly contradicts the left’s propaganda that homosexuality is either genetically or biologically determined, and therefore perfectly natural. There’s no basis in science or medicine for that contention, but the left swears to it anyway because, for them, feelings trump everything. For decades, the left has been deconstructing reality and refashioning it in the image of political correctness. The law banning reparative therapy will be challenged in court by several conservative legal organizations.

Liberals believe homosexuality is natural, but sex roles are artificial. Apart from the physical, there’s no difference between males and females, they insist. Students in public schools are being taught that you can feel like you’re a boy one day but you might feel like a girl the next and that’s perfectly normal too. One of my last lessons before retiring in June, 2011 concerned this trend and I wrote about it here (scroll down). It’s not about genitalia or chromosomes with liberals. It’s all about feelings. Children may want to dress as a boy one day or as a girl the next and they should be allowed to use the boys’ room or the girls’ room according to how they feel at the time. If I boy thinks he’s a girl, all the rest of the students and the staff in the school have to pretend he’s a girl too. If they should think that ridiculous, they would be told the problem was theirs, not the confused student’s - and they would be required to undergo brainwashing sensitivity training. That’s where public schools are going these days all across the United States and Canada.

Don’t believe it? Ask around. You’ll find out.

In Canada’s Province of Ontario, even Catholic schools are required to sponsor “Gay/Straight Alliances.” These GSAs are in public schools to affirm homosexuality as normal, but the Catholic Church teaches that it’s intrinsically disordered as I mentioned above. Religious freedom? What’s that? There’s no First Amendment in Canada, remember. Some of the wussy Canadian bishops up there decided to go along though, claiming that, after all, it’s wrong to bully homosexuals and that’s what the law - “Bill 13” - purports to stop.

Wrong move wusses.

Last week Ontario Education Minister Laurel Broten barred Catholic schools from teaching that abortion is wrong too. Bill 13 prohibits misogyny also, she claimed. “Taking away a woman’s right to choose could arguably be considered one of the most misogynistic actions that one could take,” she declared. What do you think now, bishops?
Catholic Bishops in the USA have sued President Obama because he would force them to buy contraception and abortion-inducing drugs under Obamacare, both of which the church considers sinful. Bishops here used to be wusses too, but they’ve learned the hard way that when they lay down before the leftist agenda, they get footprints on their backs.
Over in France, they elected a Socialist president a few months ago and now that country is stripping the words “mother” and “father” from that country’s entire civil code, just to accommodate their new homosexual “marriage” law. As in the case of the confused boy who thinks he’s a girl and the entire school has to adjust to his confusion, entire countries are now expected to adjust their world-view so the sexually addled and bewildered can think themselves normal.
Spain had done similar revamping to its code shortly after electing their socialist prime minister. The terms “husband” and “wife” were scrapped in favor of “Spouse A” and “Spouse B” Socialist economic policies were just as bizarre and accelerated Spain’s march to bankruptcy with the result that they were soundly defeated at the polls in May.
The leftist juggernaut, however rolls on. Where it stops, nobody knows. We conservatives may defeat Barack Obama next month, but the judges and other officials he appointed will remain for decades. So it has been in Canada, Spain, and elsewhere in the western world as the bricks and mortar of western civilization continue to crumble.

The left has controlled colleges in universities across the continent for more than a generation now and have been brainwashing educating young minds with progressive dogma for decades. Though homosexual “marriage” has been defeated in more than thirty states wherever it’s gone to referendum, it may be approved for the first time in Maine. The “progressives” have outspent conservatives more than seven to one here this year.
What’s next on the left’s agenda? I have to ask because I know they won’t stop here. Group “marriage”? Repeal age of consent laws? Didn’t think I’d live long enough to witness what’s around me now, and at this point there’s little that would surprise me about so-called progressives.

I love the hell out of my dog. Why can't I marry her and get a tax deduction out of the deal?

Frigging nut job progressives have to come up with the idea themselves I guess. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything. Next thing we know they probably WILL try to make that legal too.

And for you morons that think I was serious in the first sentense above, go screw yourselves!

I thought that Christianity preached love thy neighbor? I also thought Jesus taught tolerance and love? What's with the hate? Why does it bother you if someone is gay? Wether or not they are born that way?

I am with you in the promotion of the gay lifestyle though. Just look at the current tv sit coms. The promotion of being gay is seemingly aimed at emasculating us. And it's working. The same people pushing the eugenics agenda seem to be behind this gay freak show we see on the tv, movies and magazines. Hard to fight back against the oppressors when all the men are fags....make no mistake, thismis intentional and deliberate.
I find it scary and very very sad. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't be allowed to love who they wish. Despite what I mentioned above it seems that homosexuality is natural. Perhaps chemical? Don't rule out the American diet as being responsible too. GMO foods, bpa, these are serious chemicals messing with our genes.

Marriage? Why do we need the govt to intervene in our personal lives? I've never understood it? Just another money making scam ( look into the de beers diamond engagement ring conspiracy )

And the church? Well. How can you rail against gays and not mention the church? the relentless and ever present peadophelia and pederasty going on within the confines of the church is sickening and beyond hypocrisy. Think of what Sandusky got away with and multiply by a million.

Overall, homosexuality always has made me uncomfortable, but it doesn't really bother me--- what free people do in a free society is up to them.

Just think of Sodom and Gomorrah....( for those that believe)
God neither slumbers or sleeps....He knows,He see's, and perhaps He has just about had enough? If I were a betting (wo)man,I would say it's certainly a possibility.......

For any straight person wondering if homosexuality is something you are born with, or if it is something you decide, ask yourself one question - is there ANY way that you, personally, could actually make the choose to have sex with someone of your own gender?

I have nothing against homosexuals and think they should have all the rights that straights do, but there is NO WAY I could choose to have sex with one of my own gender, just like there is no way I could choose to eat live maggots for desert. I simply couldn't do it either. Bodyparts and gag reflexes simpley would not cooperate.

It seems that Tom though COULD make that "choice" and perform the act. If he couldn't, then why on earth would he think that others could, but not him?

Do you dare respond, Tom?

Having taught in the same community for 35 years and having taught over 3500 students, hundreds of which are still living in the community, I've seen many grow from 13-year-olds to their mid-forties.

Many experimented with homosexuality - both girls and boys - and became convinced they were "gay." Later, they entered heterosexual partnerships, and most got married, had children, and have stayed with their opposite-sex mates for a decade or more.

It's become "cool" to be homosexual or bisexual. That's the drive.

Then, there are convicts in long-term jail sentences who become homosexual, but change back when they're released.

How do you account for those, Brian?

It's pretty clear that many, if not most, choose.

The homosexual agenda is based on the inborn, biological, genetic determination and not choice. They've staked their whole campaign on that notion, for which there is little or no scientific evidence despite decades of research.

Deal with it Brian.

Brian said...

Don't worry Tom, alot of people have a little gay in them. That makes them Bi, or maybe bi-curious if the inate feelings are not too strong. And since you didn't answer, let me ask you more directly.

Could YOU make that choice, Tom?

If you are completely straight, then no, of course you couldn't. If you could, then stop your denial and deal with it.

It seems that the most vocal opponents to gays are those that harbor mixed feelings. People like Ted Haggard, or the many people that preach against it then get caught doing it.

Tom does seem to show an obsessive fascination with gays.

I picture him at night on his computer searching around web-sites for the gay photos he likes to post with his columns.

"What, honey? I'll come to bed soon....er, just, um, "researching" for a column."

Brian said...

So you refuse to answer the question? It is a simple one -

Could you, Tom, make the "choose" to get it up for a gay sex act?

Yes or no?

If you refuse to answer I can only assume that the answer is NO, in which case your whole arguement is blown, or that you are embarrassed to answer YES.

Which is it?

If you wimpily evade answering then it is very obvious you realize how flawed your premise is.

Scott said...

Tom, a few posters did insinuate that you may be a bit light in your loafers, but being asked to answer that question does not accuse you of anything.

And calling posters homosexuals comes as as very juvenile, which reflects on your mentality and the thought that went into your column. "I know you are, but what am I?" Really?

Face it, Brian came up with a great, thought-provoking question which seems to have grinded your side of the debate to a halt. Because hiding, and refusing to answer, shows that you have been cornered. Quitting equals losing.

Yes, it must be frustrating for you to not be able to defend yourself in this yopic you feel strongly about, but man up.

Tom McLaughlin said...

That men don't turn me on doesn't negate anything I've written.

Scott said...

What it shows, Tom, is that completely straight men CAN'T "decide" to be turned on by other men. There are body parts that won't cooperate. Are you claiming that some straight men CAN be turned on by other men? Well then they aren't completely straight, are they?

I, like other straight men, could no more choose to be turned on by a naked male than I could choose to be turned on by a kitchen cabinet.

This negates all you say about homosexuality being a choice.

Another question for Tom. How do you explain the fact that virtually every animal species that has been studied - from sheep to fruit flies - has a small minority of individuals who demonstrate homosexual activity.

Are the sheep just trying to appear "cool". Are the fruitflys really making "chooses"?

Eric said...

"Are the fruitflys really making "chooses"?

Tom answered: "No. They're just deviant."

EXACTLY!! Not making choices, but simply deviant. Like homosexuals. Thank you Tom. Arguement over!!!!

Hermie said...

There is a difference between deviant sexual behavior and homosexuality. To say that some guy enters prison and "chooses" to be gay while there and then " chooses" to be straight again when released is simply silly. That's about deviant sexual behavior--- no emotional connection, no true relationship--- just getting off like some animal. Big big difference and to infer otherwise is irresponsible and short sighted.

You are right about the cool factor. As I stated in my previous post there is a massive gay is cool campaign coming from Hollywood. It seems to me that the whole thing is about making the general population even more submissive and stupid, if that's possible. It isn't about homosexuality.

How do you explain Socrates and Plato----they all kept "boys" around. Were they homosexual? Deviant? Perverted?

Are priests choosing to be gay when they molest little boys?

Maybe look at like Down's syndrome. A genetic disease?

Tom sounds like Romney - switching sides and arguing with himself!

I LOVE IT! Tom admitting that homosexuality is just a part of nature that deviates from the norm, and not a choice!

I guess it was the common sense aspect of the simple question he was asked that turned him around. Faced with such easy to follow logic, he came to his senses!

Big big difference between a gay man who is very feminine and some child raping monster. Wake up people! Jerry Sandusky is the tip,of the iceberg. The Catholic Church, Boy Scouts, and on and on. This is no joke and goes very very deep..

British paedophile ring 'protected by Parliament and Downing Street'
MP Tom Watson demands probe

Thursday, 25 October 2012

"A powerful paedophile network may have operated in Britain protected by its connections to Parliament and Downing Street, a senior Labour politician suggested yesterday.

Speaking from the back benches of the House of Commons, Tom Watson, the deputy chairman of the Labour Party, called on the Metropolitan Police to reopen a closed criminal inquiry into paedophilia.

Indicating his anxiety that there had been an establishment cover-up, Mr Watson referred to the case of Peter Righton, who was convicted in 1992 of importing and possessing illegal homosexual pornographic material...."

These syllogistic arguments are off the mark. Research into what causes homosexuality has been limited to the biological/genetic because that would serve the homosexual agenda's argument that it's irreversible.

Research into other causes like being molested early in life by other homosexuals is ignored because it's pathological and works against their agenda. Evidence for that cause is widespread, but ignored.

Male homosexuals have a lifespan more than twenty years shorter than heterosexual men because their lifestyle is unhealthy in so many overlapping ways. Choosing to change would be difficult - not unlike choosing to stop smoking when you discover that it can kill you. It's difficult, but not impossible.

It would involve an admission that homosexuality is an unhealthy deviation - and they won't do it. Rather, they ban reparative therapy as California has done. They're doubling down on their lie.

Scott said...

Oh look, Tom has flip-flopped back again.

After getting his ass handed to him through common sense reasoning and logic, and conceding that homosexuality is not a choice but rather a deviance of nature, Tom is now babbling about "reparative therapy".

Let's take a look at a couple of leaders in the field.

One of the leading psychologist in the field of reparative therapy, George Rekers, claimed to have successfully treated a boy named Kirk Murphy. But Murphy's family said he never stopped being gay, and the boy eventually committed suicide. As for Rekers, his
days as a prominent anti-gay champion came to an end after he hired a male escort to accompany him on a trip to Europe. It seems that even the one claiming homosexuality could be cured was really just pretending not to be gay himself. Typical.

Another huge name in the field, psychiatrist Robert L. Spitzer, apologized for his 2003 study of reparative therapy, which suggested that it could help gays and lesbians become straight. He said it was deeply flawed.

"I believe I owe the gay community an apology for my study making unproven claims of the efficacy of reparative therapy," Spitzer said in a letter to the editor of the Archives of Sexual Behavior. "I also apologize to any gay person who wasted time and energy undergoing some form of reparative therapy because they believed that I had proven that reparative therapy works with some 'highly motivated' individuals."

But some people still see money to be made in the field so they will try to carry on.
